Love cheese? You better shop around. Look carefully in three places in your store for the same product -- all with different prices. The dairy case will usually have staple cheeses such as cheddar, Swiss and Monterey Jack, prepackaged at the lowest price. The deli and cheese tables may have the exact same products, but you'll pay more. Know what you want, and shop all three areas for the best price.

It's terrible just how savvy a shopper has to be these days. I've been struggling with this very idea--outsmarting the 'super marketers' to pick the healthiest, least expensive choices--and have been blogging about my progress. We'll see how it goes. Thanks for these tips!
I am looking for the websites for downloading coupons can you help me with the best web sites for this? I have to go to two different stores and still feel like I am saving nothing.
Thanks
Jan
Everyone says Tuesdays are the best for grocery shopping..I find that's true, the new ads are usually starting on Wed. so I find marked down everything from cheese to meats and even spagetti sauce and diced tomatoes for sauce that living with an Italian is a must!
I gave up on couponing. I look through the Sunday paper and occasionally find one or two, but for the most part all the coupons they are putting out there today are for less cents off, the highest priced items, and ready made ready to eat microwave etc. etc. that is not the best nutritional value anyway.
So my solution to high store prices? Stay away from anything pre-made. Start from scratch, make extra and freeze.
